MetaMask has removed Wyre Payment Services from its system

Wyre’s crypto payment platform is no longer supported by the cryptocurrency wallet MetaMask, according to claims that Wyre is about to cease operations.
Wyre has been taken out of MetaMask’s mobile aggregator, which enables users to buy cryptocurrency straight from its online wallet. Users are being asked by MetaMask not to utilize Wyre on the mobile aggregator.
Transak, MoonPay, and Sardine are just a few of the many other payment gateways that MetaMask still supports, according to the release. According to MetaMask, the services are accessible via Apple Pay, bank cards, and transfers. The news came shortly after Wyre CEO Ioannis Giannaros reportedly told staff members that the company would soon cease operations.
Wyre, a significant cryptocurrency payment company, was established in San Francisco in 2013 and nearly sold for $1.5 billion last year. The American e-commerce startup Bolt decided to buy Wyre in April 2022. Bolt ultimately decided to cancel the agreement in September 2022 amid the severe crypto bear market that year.
